They are from the medical instrumentation textbook by webster. If anyone knows of a solution manual online i would greatly appreciate it. But here are the quations I need assistance on. Points will be rewarded only when all three are answered. 1. An ECG lead is orientated such that its electrodes are placed on the body in positions that pick up an electromyogram from the chest muscle as well as the electrocardiogram. Design a circuit that separates these two signals as well as possible and discuss the limitations of such a circuit. 2. Assume zero skinelectrode impedance and design (give component values for) simple filters that will attenuate incoming 1 MHz radiofrequency interference to 0.001 of its former value. Sketch the placement of these filters (show all connections) to prevent interference from entering an ECG amplifier. Then calculate the 60 Hz interference that they cause for common-mode voltage of 10 mV and skinelectrode impedances of 50 k? and 40 k?. 3. Design a circuit that uses one op amp plus other passive components that will detect QRS complexes of the ECG even when the amplitude of the T wave exceeds that of the QRS complex and provides output signals suitable for counting these complexes on a counter.
